About The Course – HACCP

This industry approved distance learning Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) course provides food handlers with comprehensive training and it will result in a HACCP certificate.

Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) is a food safety management system that is essential for all successful food businesses. This training ensures an understanding for manager, supervisors and employees in how to manage food safely in the workplace and implement an effective HAACP-based management system.

By law, all food businesses must have an effective food safety management system in place. This HACCP course will introduce learners to the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points management system and help you to understand how to comply to with the law, how to work safely, and efficiently and what each crucial step of the HAACP implementation process entails.

This course will develop your knowledge and raise awareness of food hazards. You will learn about analysing and controlling biological, chemical and physical hazards from production to handling and distribution.

By the end of the course learners will have a thorough understanding of why HACCP is important, how the 7 HACCP principles can be implemented and what can be done to ensure the food handler in their business remains safe for the consumer.

Who Should Take This Course?

The HACCP course is suitable for employees at all levels within a food business and it is recommended that at least one person within the business is trained to a HACCP level. The course aims to provide a comprehensive introduction to HACCP and teaches learners about what they can do to help their business implement this system and comply with the law.

It is recommended that learners who have not previously taken a Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene course to do so alongside this HACCP training. Please, see more information for Level 2 Basic Food Hygiene training on our website www.chbsg.co.uk.

The European Regulation (EC) No 852/2004 on the Hygiene of Foodstuffs requires food businesses in the EU to implement a food safety management system based on the Codex HACCP principles.

By providing effective training, employers can help ensure that everyone in the workplace is competent to carry out their work safely. Managers, supervisors and other members of staff should be able to recognise the hazards posed by their work, be able to take action to eliminate the risks and understand how to follow procedures.

Despite Britain’s intention of leaving the EU, the internationally recognised HACCP principles will remain just as vital to ensure the highest standards in the food industry.

Examination

With every order learners will receive; a principles of HACCP textbook translated to Chinese, a 30 question multiple choice exam paper and a course cover sheet outlining the course guidelines.

It is recommended to spend a minimum of 8 hours to read and understand the course text before completing the exam.

Once the learner is confident they are familiar with the course material they should complete the complete the exam paper under exam conditions. It is recommended that business owners /  managers invigilate the exam.

Once the exam has been completed all sheets must be returned to Chinese Business Support for marking. We will then mark the exams and successful learners will be issued with a certificate within 5 working days. Please, allow up to 10 working days from posting your exam papers before contacting us for results.

Learners who are not successful first time will be given the chance to re-sit the examination and a re-sit exam paper will be automatically posted to your order address. Learners will be given 2 free re-sits per order. Learners who are unsuccessful on their third attempt will be required to pay  £41.67+VAT=£50 to continue with their training.
