About The Course – BFH Level 2

The industry approved distance learning level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene for catering course provides food handlers with comprehensive training and it will result in a  basic food hygiene certificate.

A Level 2 food hygiene certificate is essential for food handler compliance with the current food safety Act. It is also a valuable component of a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) plan.

By law, all food handlers must have an understanding of the basic principles of food hygiene and know how to work safely so as to protect the food they serve from contamination.

The course provides learners with up-to-date food hygiene information, translated into Chinese, to ensure all learners thoroughly comprehend their food safety responsibilities.

Who Should Take This Course?

The European Union Regulations (EC) No 852/2004 on the hygiene of foodstuffs requires all food handlers to be appropriately trained in how to carry out their roles safely.

This Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety for Catering course ensures that you comply with this legal responsibility by providing learners with a thorough introduction to the correct food handling practices.

The course is suitable for food handlers in all disciplines of the catering sector, including restaurants, hotels, cafes, bars, fast-food outlets, takeaways and kitchens.

This distance learning training is ideal for people working in positions such as, but not limited to:

  • Chef / Cook
  • Catering / Kitchen assistant
  • Barista
  • Child minder / Nursery staff

Examination

With every purchase learners will receive; a Level 2 Food Hygiene training course book translated to Chinese, a 30 question multiple choice exam sheet and a course cover sheet outlining the course guidelines.

It is recommended to spend a minimum of 8 hours to read and understand the course text before completing the exam.

Once the learner is confident they are familiar with the course material they should complete the complete the exam paper under exam conditions. It is recommended that business owners /  managers invigilate the exam.

Once the exam has been completed all sheets must be returned to Chinese Business Support for marking. We will then mark the exams and successful learners will be issued with a certificate within 5 working days. Please, allow up to 10 working days from posting your exam papers before contacting us for results.

Learners who are not successful first time will be given the chance to re-sit the examination and a re-sit exam paper will be automatically posted to your order address. Learners will be given 2 free re-sits per order. Learners who are unsuccessful on their third attempt will be required to pay  £41.67+VAT=£50 to continue with their training.
